Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov appealed the measure of restraint in the form of bail of UAH 120 million in the case of probable abuse of office and receipt of illegal benefits on an especially large scale.

Before the hearing, which concerned the consideration of the motion to remove Alexei Chernyshov from office, the lawyer noted that the corresponding appeal had already been filed.
The lawyer claims that work on collecting the amount continues, commenting on the issue of posting bail.

At the same time, the prosecution noted that if bail is not posted within the established time period, then a motion will be filed to change the preventive measure to detention.
The defense asked the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to completely deny the petition to remove Chernyshov from office.
The prosecution claimed that Chernyshov could allegedly commit actions to destroy or distort documents and things that are important for the investigation, prevent their seizure and influence witnesses. That is why they asked to remove him from his post for two months.
However, the defense and Chernyshov himself asked the court to completely deny this motion, since it could negatively affect the work of the Ministry of National Unity and the Cabinet of Ministers.
The HACC will announce its decision on the petition to remove Chernyshov from office on Wednesday, July 2, at 12:00.

On Friday, June 27, the VAKS chose a preventive measure for Chernyshev in the form of bail in the amount of 120 million UAH. He must appear at every call of a detective, prosecutor or court, report any change of his place of residence and place of work.
In addition, Chernyshov cannot leave the territory of Ukraine without permission from the investigator, prosecutor or court. The term of the duties assigned to him is two months, that is, until August 27, 2025.
During the hearing to select a preventive measure, Chernyshov stated that he does not plan to flee and will cooperate with the investigation.
