This was stated by the mayor of the city of Chernihiv, Vladislav Atroshenko.
He said, that the enemy deliberately destroyed the bridge connecting the city with the Kiev direction. Therefore, now there is no way to arrange humanitarian corridors or take away the wounded.
The pedestrian bridge is also now under constant cross-fire, so transporting goods is dangerous, because the bridge may fall and people will die.
The question of evacuation is not simple. There will be no mass evacuation. We are solving the issue of taking out the seriously wounded by any means. At the local level, we cannot operate on them and guarantee their future life, – Atroshenko noted.
Evacuation is necessary for 44 people. These are military and civilian, including three children.
