On January 19, President of the European Council Charles Michel arrived in Ukraine. He spoke in the Verkhovna Rada, and then met with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

There will be no free Europe without a free Ukraine
The President of the European Council noted that “today we are all Ukrainians.” He has no doubt that Ukraine will win.
Ukraine is the EU, and the EU is Ukraine. And we will be together! I hope that one day Ukraine will take my position in the European Council,” Michel emphasized.
He noted that Ukrainians pay a big price for choosing to join the EU. The official admitted that there can be no free Europe without a free Ukraine.
Meeting with Zelensky
Charles Michel then held talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainian leader noted that Ukraine and the EU have already achieved significant results in historical rapprochement.
Zelensky recalled that our goal is Ukraine's full membership in the European Union. Negotiations on this process should start already this year.

Michel visited the military
Head of the European Council also visited the Ukrainian military in one of the rehabilitation centers. He said that he continues to work on the issue of more arms supplies to Ukraine.
