Consequences of the shelling of Mariupol/Vadim Boychenko's telegrams
Russia completely destroyed Mariupol, because of which it created a humanitarian catastrophe in the city. As a result of the actions of the Russian military, Mariupol is on the verge of an outbreak of infectious diseases.
People continue to live in Mariupol without water and good sewerage
Corresponding dangers were voiced by the mayor of Mariupol Vadim Boychenko. According to him, in addition to a humanitarian catastrophe, an outbreak of infectious diseases may occur in Mariupol.
More than 100,000 local residents remain in Mariupol. As Boychenko said, people continue to live in Mariupol without water and without a working sewerage system.
In addition, all over Mariupol there are chaotic burial places of people killed by the Russian military.
During summer rains, which are typical for Mariupol, all this will fall into rivers, seas and sources where people take water from,” Boychenko said.
According to him, people need to be urgently evacuated in order to save their lives. To do this, we need humanitarian corridors to work.
“Therefore, we need sustainable green corridors for the evacuation of Mariupol residents. Together with international partners, we must do everything to save people,” said the mayor of Mariupol.
