Cemetery of the Russian marines: how the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy the occupiers near Ugledar

by alex

Russian troops do not stop trying to attack in the East of Ukraine. Vuhledar has been one of the hot spots of the Donetsk front for a long time.

Oleksandr Demchenko, a journalist from the Donbass.Realities project, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, Russia tried to concentrate the elite units of its army near Ugledar.

In particular, the invaders drove the marines of the Russian Pacific Fleet there.

“In this area, the enemy does not have any success or advancement. Although Ugledar is actually a much smaller city than Bakhmut,” the journalist said.

Features of building Ugledar

According to Demchenko, in terms of development, Ugledar is a large cluster of high-rise buildings.

“Bakhmut is a diverse city. There are new buildings, a one-story private sector, and houses from the beginning of the 20th century,” the journalist said.

As for Ugledar, high-rise buildings built in 1960-1970s of the 20th century are concentrated there.

The journalist noted that the Russian invaders were able to advance only in the territory southeast of the city.

There is a “grey zone” where household plots and dachas are located. Russian invaders are trying to break through there. Some divisions manage to enter there,” Demchenko said.

However, the Russians cannot enter the city itself. After all, in Ugledar, the Ukrainian military is holding the building. They destroy the manpower and equipment of the enemy, because the Russian invaders from the height of high-rise buildings can be seen in full view.

“In fact, these dachas and the forest belts adjacent to them have become a kind of cemetery for the marines of the Russian Pacific Fleet,” the journalist emphasized.

Ideal terrain for defense

According to Demchenko, if you stand in the houses in the south of Ugledar and look further south, to where the Russian military comes from, a huge foothold of the steppe area opens up there.

You are on a hill and you can see several kilometers into the distance. This is the perfect place for defense. And at the same time, it is very unfavorable for the offensive,” the journalist said.

He added that the Russian military entered the villages of Pavlovka and Nikolskoye not far from the city and were able to gain a foothold there only because they were hiding behind the remnants of the building.

“If they go on the offensive against Ugledar, they immediately come under fire from artillery, mortars, small arms, anti-tank missile systems,” Demchenko said.

Illogical actions of the Russians

In many places near Ugledar there is already destroyed equipment of the Russian troops. Despite this, the invaders are trying to advance to the same positions. As soon as they do this, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy another batch of enemy equipment.

These are already shot areas of the area. It is not clear what logic the Russians are guided by,” Demchenko noted.

The journalist added that the actions of the invaders near Ugledar look very strange. If near Bakhmut the enemy suffers heavy losses in order to advance at least a dozen meters, then at Ugledar the Russians are in no way capable of moving the front line. The enemy is only wasting his manpower.
