Cells and executions: how the occupiers confirm the status of terrorists on the example of the attitude towards prisoners

by alex

Every day, the Russian occupiers confirm that they are not the military, but ordinary terrorists. In addition to shelling residential areas of Ukrainian cities, they violate the Geneva Conventions by preparing demonstration trials for prisoners.

In particular, the Russians arrange “trials” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Channel 24 reports. The militants unreasonably pass the most cruel sentence to the fighters – the death penalty. Earlier, the invaders so condemned the soldiers of the Foreign Legion, who were accused of “mercenarism.”

In all likelihood, the defenders of Azovstal, for whom cages have already been prepared in temporarily occupied Mariupol, will face a similar demonstrative trial.

Putin today the number one terrorist in the world

An illustrative video was posted on the network, in which Putin was appropriately compared with Muammar Gaddafi, Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. And here's why: “Trial trials and executions of prisoners of war are a characteristic feature of terrorists around the world. This is what ISIS militants did: they filmed a farce on camera and put it on the Internet to sow horror.”

Their actions are completely copied by Putin's Russia. In the Mariupol Philharmonic, the ra**sts set up cages for Ukrainian fighters: there are no victories at the front – we will arrange a “victory” over the prisoners. Illegally “condemned” them in front of live cameras, the authors of the video said.

And they reminded that they were threatening to blow up the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant parallel to the way: “How it reminds bin Laden, Gaddafi and Hussein. Remember how they the same fate awaits Putin, because he is the number one terrorist in the world today.”

Cages for defenders prepared in Mariupol

In early August, the leader of the pro-Russian militants in Donbas, Denis Pushilin, announced the so-called “tribunal” for the defenders of Azovstal, who were captured by the invaders. It will be held in the temporarily occupied Mariupol.

Legal city authorities said that the invaders installed cages on the Philharmonic stage. According to Mayor Vadim Boychenko, the Russians are planning to hold a showcase “trial” of the defenders in September.

Shortly before this, the invaders committed a terrible terrorist attack in Yelenovka, as a result of which captured Ukrainian soldiers died, including the defenders of Mariupol. Traditionally, the invaders tried to blame Ukraine for the attack. They say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine used HIMARS and high-precision missiles to “destroy Ukrainian prisoners of war and deter deserters.”

Despite all the absurd and cynical statements of Russia, no one believed the invaders. In particular, the American Institute for the Study of War stated that there were no traces of HIMARS provided to Ukraine by the United States at the site of the shelling. Experts believe that the Russians themselves attacked the colony.

“If Ukraine had used something other than HIMARS to strike, the attack would almost certainly have left collateral damage around the facility, in particular craters and other damaged buildings” , – the experts added.

On Independence Day, buses with invaders arrived at the Philharmonic

Adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko, on August 24 said that in the morning 3 buses accompanied 5 KamAZ trucks drove up to the Philharmonic closed by the Russian military. There were soldiers in the cars.

In turn, Russian Telegram channels reported that the Philharmonic was mined. There was allegedly at least one explosive device. This event is quite similar to the classic Russian scenario, which they have tried to implement many times. Most likely, the invaders are preparing another provocation involving Ukrainian defenders.

Previously, a number of experts suggested exactly how the Russians plan to act. One option is a public execution, after which it will simply be impossible to say that Russia is not a terrorist country. Please note that President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that the demonstration trial of prisoners is a red line, after which there will be no more peace talks.

Important! Relatives of Denis Prokopenko's regiment fighters reacted to the terrible footage of cells in the Philharmonic and turned to the president. They stressed that the rights of prisoners of war are guaranteed by the Geneva Conventions, and all demonstration shows with courts and tribunals are completely contrary to generally recognized international laws. In addition, “trials” cannot be held in a quasi-republic that no one recognizes.

Russians are preparing for an “international tribunal”

An adviser to the mayor of Mariupol said that the Russians are planning to make their next crime look like the Nuremberg trials. Among the international “arbiters” are representatives of Syria, North Korea, Eritrea and other dictatorial countries.

This is enough for them to say that this is an international process, so they are not there Andryushchenko noted.

He added that the premises of the local philharmonic society are heavily guarded. The occupiers say that it will become a replacement for the drama theater, which they destroyed. However, there are no concerts at the Philharmonic so far, because there are only cages for defenders.

The world condemns the demonstration tribunal

After the gruesome photos of the defenders' cages, a number of international leaders and organizations sentenced the training of the occupiers to a show trial. In particular, according to Reuters, US State Department spokesman Ned Price said the Kremlin is trying to:

  • shift responsibility for Russian President Vladimir Putin's war of aggression,
  • divert attention from convincing evidence of the atrocities committed by the Russian military in Ukraine.

The planned show trials are illegitimate and a mockery of justice, we strongly condemn them, Price stressed.< /p>

He said that all military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the right to the status of prisoners of war, and therefore to protection in accordance with the Geneva Conventions. Therefore, the United States called on Russia to fulfill its obligations under international law. The United States will continue to stand firmly behind Ukrainians defending their freedom, Price said.
