Podolyak explained Russia's tactics/Office of the President
Mikhail Podolyak noted that Russia would undoubtedly be defeated. However, the occupying country still has certain illusions about its position.
Russia has gathered all the reserves in the East and thinks that she is at the peak of her military readiness. The corresponding statement was made by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Podolyak on the air of the national telethon, channel 24 reports.
According to Podolyak, the occupying country believes that against the backdrop of very intense hostilities in the East, it is a good moment to force Ukraine to sit down to the negotiating table. For this, Russia is ready to put pressure on the part of the European community.
Russia is very predictable. She wants not peaceful negotiations, but a temporary ceasefire.
That is, they stopped shooting, sat down at the negotiating table, they will issue some kind of ultimatums there, in particular, territorial ones. We definitely disagree. After that, hostilities will resume. But Ukraine will already resume them. And then the European community will begin to say: look, why are you fighting them today. They stopped bombing your cities,” Podolyak explained.
The adviser to the head of the President's Office added: Russia thinks that Ukraine does not understand its tactics.
That is why the occupiers use any method to force the Ukrainian side to negotiate. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelensky stressed: Ukraine will sit down at the negotiating table and talk when it understands that Russia adequately perceives the world around it.
Podolyak noted that this will happen when:
- the accumulation of weapons will have an effect;
- occupiers will be pushed back by military means from certain territories;
- sanctions will begin to work in full.
Then there will be negotiations. However, not now and not on Russia's terms.
Podolyak reminded Ukrainians that the war continues
Podolyak reminded Ukrainians that the war continues throughout Ukraine. Russia is not interested in individual regions, but in the complete capture and revival of the quasi-USSR. There are no red lines for the occupying country.
The Russian military already had a plan to kill tens of thousands of people. For this, mobile crematoria were brought in.
“They publicly stated that they planned to 'denazify' – that is, kill – two million Ukrainian citizens,” Podolyak recalled.
That is why Ukrainians should not run away from reality. One must learn to live in a permanent state of war. Do not give up the available pleasures, such as going to the movies or cafes. However, you need to ask yourself the question: “what have I done today for our defenders and for future victory?”.
If there is no answer, it's time to change something.
