Arson of the Megion City Hall in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug
— On October 28, 2024, as a result of a successful operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the local administration building burned down in the city of Megion in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Napalm was poured into three broken windows on the first floor of the city hall and set on fire, after which a call was received on the FSB hotline with a message about the mining of the building, — the source said.
The agency's source reported that while local law enforcement officers in Megion were trying to find out whether the administration building was really mined, the firefighters took no action because they were waiting for permission to work.

— Meanwhile, the fire was spreading over an ever-widening area — the flames completely destroyed the chancery, the deputy mayor's office, and several other rooms. When the attention and resources of the special and rescue services of the city of Megion were focused on extinguishing the fire in the mayor's office, napalm had already been spilled on local police cars in a guarded parking lot, — reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate.
As the intelligence officers added, a second fire was also started, which destroyed at least five police cars.
At the same time, it became known that the arson was started by a woman who threw Molotov cocktails into the building. Also, Russian media write not about five, but about one burnt car.
Russian media reports that the woman who committed the arson was detained, and a criminal case was opened against her, which was transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
