If he wins the election, US presidential candidate Donald Trump could make a catastrophic decision on the war in Ukraine – stop providing aid. But he will not be able to end the war, especially on condition of giving up territories.

Since issues related to territorial status can only be decided by the Ukrainian people and political leadership. At the same time, as lawyer and analyst Andriy Vigirinsky noted to Channel 24, the level of support depends entirely on the US, and it is highly unlikely to grow.

Which issues depend on Ukraine and which on Trump

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that “if Donald Trump wants to end the war in Ukraine, in particular, on condition of giving up territories, then he will not succeed.” Because changing the territorial status is a matter of competence for the Ukrainian political leadership and people, and not for the US president elected by society.

At the same time, in matters of absolute sovereignty, there is always a certain mirror image, which is directly related to what is the exclusive competence and authority of the leader of the country, elected in democratic elections in another state. Therefore, Trump will have the opportunity to make certain decisions in domestic and foreign policy in case of victory.

And in this case, he can make a tragic decision about the war in Ukraine, if he wins the election – to end the provision of assistance, – the analyst noted.

Then Ukraine will face a lack of resources to achieve domestic and foreign policy. In the future, the European Union will become an independent military unit with its own armed forces and security system, but the war will not be on pause during this time.

Under such conditions, the war in Ukraine will not end on Trump's initiative, but the participation of the United States in the war on the side of Ukraine on Trump's initiative may well take place, Vigirinsky said.

Therefore, Trump and the Americans can do what depends on them, and the president of Ukraine and the people can do what depends on them. An intelligence officer, on condition of anonymity, commented on the behavior of the Russian fleet in Novorossiysk as a “new tactic”. However, it is still unclear what exactly its goal is.

The most interesting thing is that when the ships dispersed, there was no further attack. This is a completely new phenomenon when naval ships completely leave the port. They simply have nowhere else to go, the intelligence officer noted.

At the same time, the intelligence representative noted that the Russian ships that left Novorossiysk mostly “hang around” outside the port. Moreover, sometimes they accumulate, which also makes them vulnerable to attacks.

Some analysts suggest that such “strange behavior” of the Russian fleet may be a reaction to the then reports that the US and Great Britain may lift restrictions on the use of their long-range missiles for strikes deep into the aggressor country.

The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy (NKREKP) announced a possible increase in the electricity tariff for business back in late September.

In particular, the National Commission proposed to equate the maximum prices on the day-ahead market and on the intraday market, set for the period from 11:00 to 17:00 (5.6 thousand UAH per MWh) to the morning peak – 6.9 thousand UAH per MWh.

According to the proposal to increase, the maximum prices on the day-ahead market and on the intraday market were to be:

• from 00:00 to 07:00 – 5.6 thousand UAH per MWh (currently – 5.6 thousand UAH per MWh);
• from 07:00 to 17:00 – 6.9 thousand UAH per MWh (currently from 07:00 to 11:00 – 6.9 thousand UAH per MWh; from 11:00 to 17:00 – 5.6 thousand UAH per MWh);
• from 17:00 to 23:00 – 9 thousand UAH per MWh (now 9 thousand UAH per MWh);
• from 23:00 to 2 4:00 – 6.9 thousand UAH per MWh (now 6.9 thousand UAH per MWh). MWh.

  In the balancing market, the maximum marginal prices should not change:

  • from 00:00 to 07:00 – 6.6 thousand UAH per MWh;
