In addition to training personnel for nuclear power plants, the creation of a full-fledged national educational system oriented towards Russian interests is being considered.

In particular, the possibility of opening branches of Russian universities near the nuclear power plant in Egypt near Alexandria is being studied as an element of long-term personnel influence on the region.

Intelligence emphasizes that this strategy pursues the goal not so much of economic development of African countries, but of creating dependence on Russian technologies and forming a loyal political environment for advancing Moscow’s geopolitical interests.

Earlier, the GUR reported that Russia is losing influence in the African region of Sahel, which includes 12 African countries with a population of over 300 million people.

US President Donald Trump issued a statement on the massive military strike that he said had completely destroyed critical sites in Iran's nuclear program, warning Iran against retaliation.

These bombs were also used during the first Gulf War and against al-Qaeda in the Tora Bora caves in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The next giant American bomb was the GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast, known as the MOAB and nicknamed the “mother of all bombs.” The MOAB weighs 9,850 kg. The US Air Force used this bomb against an ISIS cave complex in Afghanistan in 2017.

The Fordow uranium enrichment plant near the city of Qom is located about 152 km southwest of Tehran. It is believed to house important centrifuges for enriching uranium. The facility is built into a mountainside, about 80 meters below ground and rock.

The Israel Defense Forces have already damaged several nuclear targets in Iran, but the Israelis do not have the weapons to hit the Fordow site.
