The Ukrainian side stated that this demand could not be met, and DG MOVE noted that such an issue could not be the subject of this meeting.
“The agreement on the liberalization of freight transport between Ukraine and the EU will be valid at least until June 30 next year,” the message notes.
As a result of negotiations, the parties developed joint solutions and proposed them to Polish protesters. The latest proposals were not agreed upon.
The parties continue to search for solutions that would resolve the situation.
Strike of Polish carriers
Polish carriers have been blocking the border checkpoint for ten days. The strike of Polish carriers continues at the checkpoints Krakovets – Korcheva, Yagodin – Dorogusk and Rawa-Russkaya – Khrebnoye.
Earlier, RMF FM, citing an official from the European Commission, reported that the European Commission may punish Warsaw if Poland does not resolve the issue of blocking checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.
