According to Carlson, in February, after recording the interview, late at night, Vladimir Putin took him to a “private” conversation without a film crew or security. He led him through the Oval Hall of the Kremlin Senate Palace. The long table at which the dictator had received Western leaders before the war was moved to the side. Standing in the shadow of a statue of Peter I, Putin said he was “concerned that the invasion of Ukraine could escalate into a nuclear conflict.”
BILD columnist Sebastian Geisler calls this an “incredible statement”, since the Russian ruler himself started the war and repeatedly threatened with nuclear weapons.
In addition, Carlson said that Putin complained to him about the lack of conversation with US President Joe Biden since the start of the full-scale war.
“Without providing any evidence, the dictator said that “some members of the Biden administration with family roots in what is now Ukraine have obstructed peace efforts. Carlson tried to talk to Putin about the demons that allegedly possessed Hitler, and stated that he himself believed in evil spirits. But the dictator disappointed him by not supporting this conversation,” the message says.
Let us recall that the Office of the President commented on the scandalous interview.
