Canada says G20 can't work while Russia is there/Channel 24 collage
Canada stressed that the group of 20 largest economies cannot work effectively with Russia. An aggressor country has no place there.
The G20 cannot effectively work with Russia at the table. This was stated by the Minister of Finance of Canada, Chrystia Freeland.
There is no place for Russia among the countries united to maintain global economic prosperity.
One cannot be both a poacher and a gamekeeper,” Freeland stressed.
Russia blocks G20 work
G20 finance ministers and central bankers meeting in Washington on Wednesday failed to agree on their traditional communiqué on the goals economic policy. This is because Russia has blocked strong language condemning its invasion of Ukraine.
The IMF and World Bank committees were unable to issue joint statements.
