Canada bought Ukraine artillery shells for M777 howitzers/Collage of Channel 24
Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak said that Canada is sending Ukraine 20,000 artillery shells in M777 howitzers. The country will send $100 million worth of military aid to our army.
The head of the Presidential Office thanked Canada for the weapons. “These gifts will fly over the Russian army and help kick it out of Ukraine,” Yermak stressed.
Canada purchased these NATO-standard artillery shells for Ukraine to support it in its defense against a Russian invasion. This was stated by Minister of Defense Anita Anand, writes CBC.
According to her, 155-millimeter shells will not be sent from the military arsenal of Canada, they were purchased for free transfer to Ukraine. They will be sent along with the new M-777 howitzers that Canada donated to Ukraine.
