In order to aggravate the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect the territory from air strikes, the Russians are trying to destroy Ukrainian air defense systems. To do this, they hope to use appropriate weapons.
At the same time, the percentage of air targets shot down by Ukrainian air defense is increasing. Yuri Ignat, speaker of the Air Force, told Channel 24 about this.
Fighting air targets
The military noted that Ukrainian air defense works effectively today.
Nobody destroyed our air defense systems. On the contrary, yesterday they had a rate of shooting down precisely cruise missiles and the same “Shaheds” more than 50 percent. Today, out of 28 missiles, 20 were destroyed. The Russians need to somehow justify themselves. They see that the infrastructure is being hit, but it is being restored and life goes on,” the speaker explained.
According to him, the infidels disseminate information for their citizens who destroyed the entire Ukrainian air defense system and that the Ukrainian missiles that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launch on them, they allegedly fall on Zaporozhye and Nikolaev.
“How much do you need to be a cynical bastard to convince people who fall for this with such nonsense?” Ignat added.
“Rogue” missiles
The speaker said that the enemy is using so-called “rogue” missiles .
They “wander” for a reason. The course is set by operators who launch them from aircraft. If the X-101 rocket costs 13 million dollars, then it is clear that this is a high-tech thing, which specifies the route and all data. It moves exactly where the enemy has information that we have vulnerabilities there,” Ignat pointed out.
According to him, “wandering” missiles pave routes , so missiles can change their course and split up into groups – to disperse the attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and confuse our anti-aircraft gunners or aerators, causing as much damage as possible.
“Plus, they can be joined by “shaheeds” – this is a completely different type of weaponry. Ballistic missiles also fly to cruise missiles. Somehow we need to deal with all this and somehow shoot it all down, because it poses a serious threat,” the representative is convinced.
In his opinion, air, space and ground reconnaissance is enough for the invaders, which shows the vulnerabilities of Ukrainian air defense.
“Our systems have their weak points, which do not leave for a long time. They only increase in one direction or another,” Ignat concluded.
Rocket attacks on October 11: what is known
- < li> The morning of October 11 began for Ukrainians like the day before – with a long air raid. During its hit, there were 2 energy facilities in the Lviv region. One person was injured in the attack. 30% of the city without electricity, and sometimes there were problems with water supply.
