Can Russia launch an offensive in yet another direction: the response of the Ministry of Defense

by alex

Heavy fighting continues in the Donetsk region. The Russians are trying to advance at any cost, in particular to capture the city of Bakhmut, which has become the hottest point on the front line. However, questions arise – can the enemy simultaneously launch an enhanced offensive in one more direction at the same time as these attacks.

The answer to this question was given by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar in an interview on the air of the national telethon. According to her, now the confrontation between Ukraine and Russia has turned into a war of resources.

What are the capabilities of the Russian army

Anna Malyar noted that Russia, unfortunately, is rich in resources. She has a lot of equipment and manpower. Therefore, you should not underestimate the resource of the enemy. The Deputy Minister of Defense stressed that it can be said that a decrease in the resources of the occupiers due to losses in the war can affect the quality and intensity of hostilities, but the aggressor country is ready for a long war.

That is, the enemy may have a resource in order to launch an offensive in another direction, but here the question is already different. According to Malyar, the Russians have an advantage in equipment and manpower when compared with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the battles near Bakhmut show that the Russian army cannot fight effectively, so private military companies, in particular Wagner and the prisoners recruited into it, have to be involved. .

They (invaders – Channel 24) cannot stand urban battles at all, they lose immediately. Now we see that the environment does not work for them either. That is, in fact, they can only launch missiles, – stressed Malyar.

Losses of the enemy in the war

Russia has large resources that it is not afraid to sacrifice to achieve its goals, but all these resources are significantly reduced by Ukrainian defenders and defenders, and the enemy fails to achieve their goals.
