Can IDPs be denied a certificate due to the lack of registration for WOT?

by alex

In Ukraine, they do not have the right to refuse to issue an IDP certificate only because of the lack of registration at the WTO or in the war zone . This is unacceptable and illegal.

This was reported by the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. They explained the situation there.

Can IDPs be denied a certificate

The current legislation stipulates that the lack of registration at the WTO cannot be a reason for refusing to issue an IDP certificate.

The Ministry of Reintegration has already sent letters to the regional military administrations with relevant explanations. If an internally displaced person does not have registration for a TOT or in a war zone, there is a list of other documents with which he can confirm his place of residence, the department noted.

In such situations, please contact the Ministry of Reintegration at the 24-hour crisis hotline 15-48 or at the hotline of the Commissioner for IDPs at the number: (066) 813-62-39.

Immigrants in Ukraine

  • Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes. So finding a place to live has become extremely important to them, but there are those who deceive people in this case. Irina Vereshchuk urged not to do this, because people have already suffered and are under stress from the actions of the aggressor.
  • The state pays migrants UAH 2,000 or UAH 3,000 each (for children and persons with disabilities).
