Artem “Chimera” Polezhaka is one of the many cultural figures who today defend Ukraine with weapons in their hands. The poet decided to join the army at the beginning of a full-scale invasion.
On February 15, the position of the Kharkov artist came under fire from an enemy tank. However, he managed to survive, and later on his Facebook page to inform his fans that he had received a shell shock.
Jokes even after shelling
According to the poet, the shell of the invaders flew past his head at a distance of less than a meter and “disassembled” his position into pieces. He came to himself, covered with sand.
If you didn’t know what a shell-shocked Polezhak looks like, then here … It’s buzzing in my head, I can’t fully hear (that at my age, in principle…), and most importantly, coordination is slightly disturbed and I can’t walk for a long time,” wrote Artem Polezhaka.
However, even in such a terrible situation, the military jokingly complains that he lost his hat, and also sent a calimator on his last journey, which was hit by a piece. And he even boasts: “Now I have a new superpower – to exhale air through my ears.”
What is known about Artem Polezhak
Kharkiv poet Artem “Chimera” Polezhak serves as a shooter in the 3rd battalion of the 5th Slobozhanskaya brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. It should be noted that on February 13, according to the Golden Lifon award, he was recognized as the sexiest representative of Ukrainian culture.
According to the award, the artist’s social networks repeatedly banned and deleted his page for his civil position. And he did not hide his position – even during the Revolution of Dignity, his “Report”, which was a sharp satire on Russian information manipulations, made a lot of noise.
When the war began in 2014, the poet actively volunteered and traveled with performances in the ATO zone, and after the start of a full-scale invasion, he himself picked up a machine gun. And since that time, with his brothers, he participated in the liberation of Balakleya and Kupyansk, and between shelling he wrote poetry. It should be noted that earlier songs by Kozak System, TNMK and Boombox were sung to his works.
