This incident occurred in the Lugansk region, where active hostilities are now continuing. Two rescuers were wounded while on duty – they came under enemy fire. This was announced by the head of the Luhansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai.

Today, a senior fire rescuer and a driver of the 38th state fire rescue unit were sent to help civilians in Novodruzhesk, where they came under fire from the Russian army, – said Gaidai.

So, the rescuer was diagnosed with barotrauma of the head, and the driver was diagnosed with a shrapnel wound to the face.

Currently, medical workers are assisting the employees of the State Emergency Service.
