The self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko unexpectedly arrived in China on December 3. The Belarusian dictator's plane landed in Beijing.

Belarusian media reported this. This is the second trip in a year by the self-proclaimed President of Belarus to the head of the Celestial Empire, Channel 24 reports.

Lukashenko arrived for negotiations with Xi Jinping.

The press service of the self-proclaimed President of Belarus emphasized that negotiations between Lukashenko and Xi Jinping should take place on December 4 in Beijing. In particular, politicians intend to discuss issues of trade, economic, investment and international cooperation.

Lukashenko and Xi Jinping are also scheduled to attend several social and humanitarian events during the meeting.

It should be noted that this is the second trip of the Belarusian dictator to the head of China. The last time Lukashenko flew to Beijing was in February 2023. Then, at a meeting with Xi Jinping, he discussed China’s 12-point “peace plan” for Ukraine, which included calls for a ceasefire, the lifting of sanctions and the resumption of negotiations.

Previously, Lukashenko received Putin in Minsk

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the CSTO meeting in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on November 23. There, the head of the aggressor country was received by self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko.
  • Soon, the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev also arrived in Belarus, who was also met by Lukashenko. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov also arrived in Minsk.
  • At the same time, Armenia did not come to the CSTO meeting. Thus, the country's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan refused to go to Minsk, and is also considering the possibility of Armenia withdrawing from the agreement.
  • Deputy head of the Joint Transitional Cabinet and head of the People's Anti-Crisis Management in Belarus Pavel Latushko said that during the meeting Putin and Lukashenko said “record little.” There was never a bilateral meeting between the dictators within the framework of the CSTO summit.
