The Armed Forces of Ukraine received a powerful weapon – Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts. Our defenders have already mastered and are effectively using them on the front line.
The defenders mastered the weapon in 2-3 hours
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny noted that our gunners very quickly learned to use modern weapons – it only took our defenders a few hours.
Caesar howitzers are already at the forefront. Our gunners quickly mastered the new self-propelled guns, in fact, after 2 – 3 hours. I am sincerely grateful to the partners for their help! It serves to bring our victory closer,” Zaluzhny wrote.
What kind of weapon is this
Zaluzhny explained that Caesar is a new generation self-propelled artillery mount. It makes it possible to hit the enemy at a distance of 20 kilometers or more from the front line with high accuracy.
Artillery, reserves, enemy command posts are located at this distance. Destroying them reduces the offensive potential of the enemy,” Zaluzny added.
These self-propelled guns (self-propelled artillery) on a wheeled chassis – this makes them mobile and maneuverable.
The unit is equipped with an automated system of self-binding and homing to the target. It has a fairly high rate of fire – 5 rounds per minute and high accuracy of fire.
It can use several types of 155 mm ammunition used in NATO countries.
Caesar provides crew survivability and comfortable working conditions. It makes it possible to act according to the principle: fire – maneuver – fire, – the commander-in-chief emphasized.

Ukraine is now most in need of MLRS multiple launch rocket systems. According to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, these weapons can help the Ukrainian army.
Ukrainian defenders have already proven their combat readiness and phenomenal ability to master new weapons in the shortest possible time, so multiple launch rocket systems can significantly improve the situation at the front and bring our victory closer, and most importantly, save thousands of lives.

Update on what weapons Ukraine will receive from partners
After the Ramstein-2 meeting, 20 countries announced new security assistance packages to Ukraine, including critically needed weapons. Italy, Greece, Norway and Poland have announced new deliveries of weapons and ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And Denmark will provide Harpoon anti-ship missiles and launchers for them.
Olaf Scholz also said that Germany will transfer lethal weapons to Ukraine. The German chancellor explained that their state would buy weapons for Ukraine from manufacturers.
At the same time, Canada bought 20,000 NATO-standard artillery shells for Ukraine to support it in its defense against Russian invasion. They will be sent along with the new M-777 howitzers, which Canada has previously promised to Ukraine.
