In the Ternopil region on February 19, a Neoplan bus overturned. He was driving from Bukovel to the regional center.
The accident happened at about 10:26 p.m. on the H-18 highway within the village of Staraya Brikulya of the Mikuline Territorial Society.
A bus overturned in Ternopil region
At 22.26, the emergency number 101 received a message about an accident in Stara Brikule. There, a Neoplan bus, which carried out irregular transportation from Bukovel, Ivano-Frankivsk region to Ternopil, overturned on the side of the road.
At the time of the accident, there were 39 people in the cabin, including 1 child. As a result of the accident:
- 3 people were killed,
- 3 more were injured.
The victims were taken to the Terebovlya city hospital. To eliminate the consequences of the emergency, 20 rescuers and 5 units of equipment of the units of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region were involved.
Employees of the State Emergency Service rescued a passenger who was released from under the bus. Rescuers also took measures to prevent a fire.
With the involvement of 3 units of auxiliary equipment provided by a local agricultural enterprise, the bus was lifted from the side of the road onto the roadway. The circumstances of the accident are established by law enforcement officers.
