A difficult period has now begun at the front, but you should not expect “Armageddon”.
This assessment was made by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov on the air of the national telethon One News.
Difficult period at the front
— I believe that it (a difficult period, — Ed.) is now ongoing. But I repeat once again: there will be no Armageddon. Don't worry, we will stand and win, — he answered the journalists.
Also, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region stated that the summer offensive of the invaders has already begun and has been continuing since mid-May.
Now watching
— It's already underway. It started in mid-May and continues. It continues. The situation is not the best, but there is no need to exaggerate the consequences of this, — he added.
In addition, Budanov commented on the Russians’ attempts to invade the Sumy region. According to the intelligence officer, the invaders are carrying out raids by the DRG in this direction, but the Defense Forces are taking the necessary measures to prevent a large-scale offensive.
Strikes on Russian targets
In addition, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence commented on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes with Western weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation. According to him, this will definitely ease the situation for Ukrainian defenders.
— This will definitely make things easier. No less, no more. Russians already feel it all, — he said.
Budanov added that Russian intimidation with so-called red lines is purely a public game.
— And they (red lines, — Red.) exist at all? No. If they exist, then where are they? Over the years, how many times have they said that they have definitely already crossed over. I think this is a game for the crowd, — added the head of the power steering.
At the same time, the Russian army brought air defense assets to the temporarily occupied Crimea, and, in particular, placed there the latest S-500 anti-aircraft missile system, where they are going to test this air defense system.
In Crimea, the occupiers, in particular, use the Kerch Bridge for military transportation, in particular, personnel.
