According to the commander-in-chief, the invaders focused on breaking through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces west of Bakhmut, accessing the Seversky Donets – Donbass canal and capturing Chasovoy Yar.
The capture of Chasovoy Yar, as Alexander Syrsky noted, is necessary for the invaders to advance towards the Kramatorsk agglomeration.
