< p _ngcontent-sc90="" class="news-annotation">British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace met with US counterpart Lloyd Austin and Commander of the Armed Forces Mark Milley in the US. The main topic of the meeting was support for Ukraine.

According to Austin himself, the heads of the defense departments discussed ongoing efforts to support Ukraine.

Including through security, as well as the importance of transatlantic cooperation and regional security in the light of Russia's continuous brutal attack on Ukraine.

What is known about Wallace's visit to the US

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace's visit is underway at a time when Britain, the US and other NATO allies are closely watching Russia's war in Ukraine amid fears that President Vladimir Putin may step up his attacks even more.

The covert nature of the trip indicates that the parties will discuss particularly sensitive and serious issues. A UK defense source declined to provide any specific details about the content of Wallace's trip, other than to say: “The Secretary of Defense is in Washington to discuss general security issues, including Ukraine.”

Add that recently Ben Wallace chided French President Emmanuel Macron for “breaking the united front” of the allies. We are talking about Macron's statement that if Putin uses nuclear weapons against Ukraine, France will not respond in a mirror way.
