Britain has imposed sanctions on Iran for supplying Russia with ballistic missiles that the terrorist state could use to attack Ukraine.

First, Britain cancelled bilateral air service agreements with Iran. This is intended to limit the capabilities of the Iranian airline Iran Air.
In addition, together with the United States, the UK has imposed sanctions on a number of key individuals and organizations for their role in facilitating Russia's military aggression. In particular, this includes those who help with logistics for the supply of ballistic missiles and drones.
The list of these people includes:
- Seyed Hamzeh Ghalandari, Director General of International Relations at the Ministry of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces of Iran;
- Ali Jafarabadi, Head of the Space Command of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC);
- Majid Mousavi, Deputy Commander of the IRGC.
In parallel, London froze the assets of several companies involved in Iran's ballistic missile program. In particular, this concerns the Anzali Industrial Free Trade Zone.
The UK also imposed sanctions on five Russian ships involved in the Iranian-Russian transportation of military cargo. The restrictions apply to 924 Russian State Unmanned Aviation Center, Russian Aerospace Forces and Military Transport Aviation Command.
In the future, the British government plans to approve a law that will tighten trade sanctions against Iran, which will be aimed at goods used in the production of ballistic missiles, drones and other weapons.
Supply of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia
The transfer of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia was first reported on September 7 by The Wall Street Journal. The newspaper did not provide details on their quantity.
At the same time, Reuters reported that Iran could transfer several hundred short-range ballistic missiles Fath 360 to Russia.
Later, an Iranian legislator confirmed the media reports about Tehran supplying ballistic missiles to Russia.
In addition, the European Union confirmed the data on the missile supplies, where they announced that they would introduce new restrictive measures against Iran.
