— At this summit, we will lay out concrete ways in which NATO can help Ukraine defend itself from Russian aggression and build the power to deter an aggressor, as well as implement the necessary reforms to make yourself a stronger candidate for NATO membership.
This is what we call “the bridge to membership” to NATO. The support we intend to provide at the summit will truly help accelerate Ukraine's path to NATO membership, — explained the American official.
Jones stressed that the declaration on assistance steps is still at the stage of discussion between NATO allies.
