И в НАТО, и в США обеспокоены риторикой Трампа: бояться ли Украине его победы на выборах

Donald Trump distinguished himself with another scandalous statement. This time he said that he could allegedly encourage the Russians to attack any of the NATO allies. Such pre-election rhetoric by the former US President causes concern both in the Alliance and in the States themselves.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Prystaiko noted 24 Channel that Trump has his own vision and it is somewhat radicalized – white and black. And the ex-president’s latest statement about NATO caused outrage in many countries.

“I’m still sure that now this is just his election rhetoric. The Oval Office will understand that not everything is so simple, and there are many interests. In particular, the United States and its economy are so powerful because they exist on the basis of security around the world. If there is no security, even such a powerful country as the United States , can’t handle it alone,” Prystaiko noted.

Should Ukraine be afraid of a possible Trump presidency

Trump has distinguished himself by a certain radicalism in his actions during his term. For example, having led the United States, he immediately made a decision that the previous US leader, Barack Obama, could not decide on. In addition, he did approve critical supplies of Javelin and Stinger to Ukraine, which we used later – during the defense of the Kiev region.

During his presidency, Trump recruited generals to his team, who had direct military experience and gave him advice. If he does the same this time and relies on professionals who understand the importance of supporting Ukraine, then, as Prystaiko is convinced, everything will be fine.

“We have support of both parties. There is no need to divide and there is no need to try to find the weaknesses of Democrats and Republicans. They are all our partners,” summed up the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
