The tragedy occurred on Sunday, July 24, during a joint fishing trip. The details were told in the State Emergency Service.

The boy entered the water and began to drown, and his father rushed after him

How According to the State Emergency Service, a 44-year-old man went fishing with his 8-year-old son on the Southern Bug River. The boy, unable to swim, entered the water and began to drown.

The father saw this and rushed to save his son. However, he did not know how to swim. Subsequently, an eyewitness saw the tragedy and ran to save both. While he was pulling the boy out of the water, the father went under the water. The man undertook to call rescuers, but everything was in vain.

Father was found the next day

On the day of the tragedy, divers examined the river, but this did not give any results. The very next day, July 25, the father was found. His body was lying at a depth of 3 meters, a few meters from the shore.

The State Emergency Service notes to parents to watch their children and follow the rules of safe rest.

“While relaxing near water bodies – look after the children while drinking alcoholic beverages – do not go into the water, when the air temperature is high – do not go in to “cool off” if you feel unwell – do not look for salvation in the water. Remember: water does not forgive mistakes! “- say in the rescue service.
