Russian invaders attacked a pedestrian bridge in Kyiv on 10 October. The rocket fell next to him, causing a huge crater to form. However, the bridge itself survived. By the way, there were people there at the time of the strike.
During the massive Russian attack, there was a man on the pedestrian and bicycle bridge in Kyiv. He miraculously survived and claims that he even managed to notice how the Russian rocket was falling.
“More surprised than frightened”
Mikhail Pyata was on the bridge on Volodymyrska Gorka at the very moment when a Russian shell arrived there. The man assures that everything was so fast that he didn’t even have time to get scared. Immediately after the explosion, he went down under the bridge and took the first photos of the remains of the rocket.
I just approached the benches, I hear such a whistle! I return – a rocket flies from there. I was more surprised than scared. I felt the explosion itself, even my ear was blocked, – said Mikhail Pyata.
The man also said that at the time of the explosion there was another person not far from him. A passer-by congratulated the Kiev citizen on another “birth”. Mikhail Pyata was on the bridge for a reason. Like, he often walks around Kyiv in the morning, and the glass bridge is part of his usual route.

The mayor showed the aftermath of the Russian strike. In particular, fragments of a rocket, broken glass and a funnel. Vitali Klitschko stressed that “the bridge will lick the wounds”.
