Most of the attempts by Russian DRGs to penetrate the territory of Ukraine are recorded on the borders of the Sumy region.
Speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko announced this on the air of the United News telethon.
“The majority of such cases are recorded on the border with Russia – within the Sumy region, periodically within the Kharkov region, recently less in the Chernigov region,” he said.
Demchenko noted that the DRGs are those groups that are trying to expose the locations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, where units of the State Border Guard Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the National Guard are located.

According to him, enemy DRGs are also a threat to locals.
“After all, saboteurs open fire on cars moving in the border area. They don’t know whether they are military or civilian,” the speaker explained.
Earlier, the State Border Service reported that over the past few months the number of attempts to cross the border outside checkpoints has increased.
