Armed forces of Russia do not stop shelling the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The aggressor troops are preparing for the Ukrainian regions from their territory.
Night shelling of Chernihiv region
The press service of the State Border Service reported that the Russians carried out shelling during May 24-25. On the night of May 25, the occupiers fired at the Seversky district of Chernihiv region.
The shelling of the Chernihiv border began at 03:40 from the Russian settlement of Lyubachene. The aggressor's troops were made from cannon artillery and mortars of 120 mm caliber. At the same time, the infidels corrected the fire with the help of drones.
The shelling of the Sumy region
On the evening of May 24, shelling of the territories of the Sumy region took place. It is reported that a pair of enemy planes twice launched unguided rockets in the direction of the Shostka region.
Eight ammunition exploded near another village in the Shostka region. Another 7 mines exploded in the vicinity of the village of Konotop district of Sumy region.
The operational command “North” was informed that on May 24, within an hour, the Russians fired 15 times at the Sumy region. The Russians attacked the settlements of Boyaro-Lezhachi and Tolstodubovo.

- The Russian Armed Forces are trying to increase tension in the North, from where the Armed Forces of Ukraine knocked them out in late March. Against the backdrop of fighting in the East and North, the Russian military increased the number of shelling in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions in May. Most likely, the goal of the Russians is to divert the attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- In recent weeks, the occupiers have committed several provocations. In particular, on May 16, the DRG of the Russians tried to enter the Sumy region, but the Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy.
- Also on May 17, the aggressor troops began a battle in the north of the Shostka region. But the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to stop the infidels and prevent the enemy from breaking through the Ukrainian border for the second time.
- Note that on May 17, the Russian armed forces delivered a powerful blow to the village of Desna in the Chernihiv region. As a result of an enemy airstrike, 87 people were killed. The Russian military fired 4 missiles, two of which, unfortunately, hit the target.
