The war between Israel and Hamas militants continues. The US Secretary of State said there is still a chance to reach a ceasefire now.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called on both sides to make a final push to reach a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, saying now is the “best” and “possibly last” opportunity.

US Steps Up Diplomatic Pressure

Blinken has arrived in Israel to step up diplomatic pressure from the US. This should help ensure a breakthrough in the negotiations.

At the same time, Hamas representatives told Blinken that it was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who was responsible for “thwarting the efforts of mediators” and delaying the ceasefire agreement.
