China's support for Russia's military-industrial complex was one of the topics of the meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Director of the CPC Central Commission for Foreign Affairs of China and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The conversation took place in Vientiane, on the sidelines of the ASEAN ministerial meetings.

The United States is preparing a response

Thus, during a conversation with Chinese representatives, Blinken expressed concern that China is helping the Russian military-industrial complex stay afloat.

The Secretary of State sent a clear message to Beijing that if it continues to help Russia's defense potential to strengthen, thereby creating a threat to European security, the United States will take appropriate measures.

Both sides recognized the importance of maintaining open lines of communication in the coming weeks and months.

Recall that the other day, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry visited China, during which his Chinese colleagues assured that they support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. At the same time, they stubbornly called Russian aggression a “Ukrainian crisis.” Following this visit, Zelensky said that China supports Kyiv and will not supply weapons to Russia.
