During the day on January 31, Russian invaders launched 3 air and 3 missile strikes. The invaders also fired more than 20 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
As a result of enemy attacks, civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kherson regions was damaged. The threat of air and missile strikes remains throughout Ukraine.
The General Staff said that the Russians continue to conduct offensive operations in the Liman and Bakhmut directions, suffering heavy losses. They are also conducting fruitless offensive operations in the Avdeevka and Novopavlovsk directions.
In turn, in the Kupyansky and Zaporizhzhya directions, the invaders are defending the previously captured lines, and in the Kherson direction they are shelling the positions of Ukrainian units and civilian objects.
The situation in different directions
On the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directionsthe situation has not changed significantly. Offensive enemy groupings are not fixed. However, the Russians continue shelling. In particular, in the Seversky direction, the invaders attacked the following settlements from mortars:
- Klyusy, Mistki, Guta-Studenetska, Leonovka, Chernihiv region;
- Sopich, Volfino, Sumy region and Lemishchino Kharkiv region.
On the Slobozhansky directionthe invaders do not stop shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the line of confrontation. As a result of mortar and artillery shelling, the areas of settlements suffered: Veterinary, Strelechya, Glubokoye, Green, Neskuchnoye, Ogurtsovo, Volchansk, Staritsa, Budarki of the Kharkov region.

In the Kherson direction, 17 settlements, in particular, Zolotaya Balka, Berislav, Vesele, Nikolaevka, Tyaginka, Ponyatovka, Antonovka, Beregovo, Yantarnoye of the Kherson region and Kherson, were shelled from multiple launch rocket systems, cannon artillery and mortars. What happened in the occupied territories
The occupiers have tightened filtration and counter-sabotage measures in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region. In particular, the Russian occupation troops restricted entry and exit from the settlement of Ulyanovka. Local residents are searched and mobile phones are checked.
In Donetsk, among the military personnel of the Russian occupation forces and mercenaries of the Wagner PPK, the number of cases of especially dangerous infections has increased significantly. This may be due to the lack of normal sanitary and hygienic conditions at the locations of enemy units.
In turn, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflicted:
- 9 strikes on areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the invaders,
- 2 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.
In addition, units of missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 9 area of concentration of enemy manpower and 1 composition of ammunition.
