Joe Biden's family members have privately criticized his top campaign advisers, blaming them for the presidential debate failure, and calling on Biden to fire or demote them.

The allegations reportedly involve the following employees: Senior Advisor Anita Dunn; her husband Bob Bauer, the president's lawyer; Ron Kline, the former chief of staff who led debate preparations.
— The aides who trained the president have been with him for years, often decades, and have seen his triumphs and challenges. Biden has a lot of confidence in them,” said Biden campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz.
A senior White House aide also denies that frustration was directed at Dunn, Bauer and Kline.
Biden's unsuccessful debate
Biden's allies and those around him tried to find various reasons for the president's poor debate performance, including that the president was ill, overprepared and that CNN moderators failed to fact-check former President Donald Trump's statements.
One person notes that the Biden family wanted the president to continue the campaign rather than end his career with a disastrous debate performance against Trump.
