Johnson called on President Biden to resign. In addition, he said that the prospects for the Democratic Party are supposedly no better with Vice President Kamala Harris. According to him, the politician is part owner of the disastrous policy failures of the Biden administration

At the same time, CNN, citing a senior White House official, writes that Joe Biden was thinking about leaving the presidency race over the past few days.

Just before the announcement letter was released, Biden informed campaign and White House officials of his decision. This happened around 13:45 local time – that is, a few minutes before the official announcement to the general public.

News that Biden is leaving from the 2024 campaign, came as a surprise to many of Biden’s rank-and-file employees – both in the White House and in the presidential team, analysts emphasize.

Journalists note, citing sources, that most of Biden's campaign staff, particularly certain respected individuals, learned about the politician's election knowledge from his social media.

It should be mentioned that it was current Vice President Kamala Harris is Biden's possible successor. It was she who was supported by the current head of the White House, declaring that he would not participate in the elections.

Former US President Donald Trump managed to comment on his opponent’s decision. He said that it would allegedly be easier for him to defeat Harris than Biden. He also called Joe Biden the worst president in American history.
