This once again proved that our state needs more modern air defense systems – the Pentagon is working on this. NASAMS are Norwegian anti-aircraft missile systems. They are manufactured by Raytheon and used by member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.
Due to the aggravation of the situation in the war between Russia and Ukraine, the United States promised to provide these installations as soon as possible. In order to speed up this process as much as possible SAMs, assemble from existing parts, and not create weapons from scratch.
This is one example of our ability to quickly work with industry to speed up delivery. We use some of the available parts to assemble weapons and enter into contracts under USAI to purchase additional parts, the Pentagon also said.
Zelensky's conversation with Biden
