Anthony Blinken arrived in Kyiv on September 8 with an unannounced visit. The US Secretary of State said that his trip took place against the backdrop of a UAF counteroffensive.
US President Joe Biden believed that it was especially important for Blinken to come to Ukraine right now. The head of the State Department himself called his day in Kyiv “very productive”.

The American official noted that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has just begun, but its results are already visible. In particular, in the region of Kherson and the East.
