US President Joe Biden announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine during a meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky.
U.S. aid package for Ukraine
According to the Pentagon, the new aid package to Ukraine from the United States totaling $225 million includes:
- Patriot air defense system battery;
- ammunition for NASAMS and HIMARS;
- anti-aircraft missiles for Stinger;
- 155mm and 105mm artillery shells;
- TOW anti-tank guided missiles;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank missile systems and ammunition;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
- small arms ammunition;
- explosive ordnance;
- spare parts, maintenance and other auxiliary equipment.
Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the United States for its decision to strengthen Ukraine's air defense, provide a new aid package, and preserve the energy grid.

At the same time, Zelensky thanked Biden for his decision to support Ukraine by providing new air defense systems after the Russian missile strike on the Okhmatdet children's hospital in Kyiv.
— We greatly appreciate the decision to strengthen the air defense, which will provide five new Patriots and dozens of other systems, — he noted.
During a meeting with Zelensky, Biden said that the balance on the front in Ukraine has shifted over the past few months.
He explained that Ukrainian defenders managed to stop Russian occupiers in the Kharkiv region, as well as inflict significant losses on the enemy.
— This made it clear that Russia will not win in Ukraine. Ukraine will win, — the US President is convinced.
