New air raid alerts like church bells, train horns, alarms do exist. However, these sounds have so far been introduced only by some territorial bulks.
Vinnitsa City Council was one of the first to approve new air raid sounds in the event of a chemical and radiation hazard, as well as warnings about the beginning of an evacuation. These sounds are quite legal.
What is known about the new air raid sounds
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers approves the Regulation on organizing notifications. According to it, it is local governments that independently approve the “alert procedure”, therefore, they have the right to independently choose signals.
In addition, a fake was launched on the network that if you heard the sound of a train at the station, then you need to run for cover. In fact, the sound of a response alarm will be heard from the warning system and will last at least 30 seconds.< /p>
At the same time, the announcer says: “Attention everyone!” and informs about the procedure to be followed in case of danger,” the ministry said.
Restrictions in Ukraine on Independence Day
Ukrainian special services have warned of a high threat of massive rocket attacks and provocations on the eve of Independence Day. Therefore, additional restrictions were introduced in different cities for several days.
The head of the Kyiv city military administration, Nikolai Zhirnov, banned any mass events in the capital during August 22-25. In addition, until August 24 inclusive, the metro will operate from 6:00 to 21:00.
Government quarter workers are advised not to go to work in the office from 22 to 26 August. All employees of state institutions were urged to “appear there as little as possible” and work from home.
Because of the danger, Kharkiv decided to change the duration of the curfew. So, it will be valid during August 22-25 from 19:00 to 07:00. OVA Chairman Oleg Sinegubov called on the population to prepare for a long stay in homes and shelters.
The Defense Council of the Chernivtsi region banned religious organizations from holding religious processions. Also, peaceful meetings, rallies, marches and other mass events were limited in the region. Their organization will be coordinated with the headquarters of the territorial defense through the OVA.
The head of the Nikolaev OVA Vitaly Kim noted that the regional center will not be closed on Independence Day. About this, all mass events are prohibited. In addition, residents of the region are advised to stay and work from home.
