Enterprises of Russia and Belarus did not come to agree on the cost of parts and components for the Grad multiple launch rocket systems. This became known on Saturday, March 2.

That the Belarusians and Russians could not agree on the price for the manufacture of parts for the MLRS ” Grad” was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

How the Russians and Belarusians did not come to an agreement

According to the contract, the Belarusian contractor, Volatavto OJSC, must supply 250 units of products necessary for the production and repair of the Grad MLRS to the Russian customer, Special Design Bureau CJSC. We are talking, in particular, about frames, bases, guide pipes, cradles and other elements of combat vehicles. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the dispute arose during a meeting when the Volatauto delegation presented papers with calculations – the cost of certain types of Belarusian products exceeded what the Russians expected by 500 – 600%.

After intense negotiations, the Belarusians carried out additional calculations and found a “way out” to reduce the cost: subcontractors who do not have the appropriate licenses will produce the components. This will mean a decrease in product quality, and therefore increased risks of using Grad MLRS assembled from such parts and assemblies. – says the GUR message.

It is worth noting that both enterprises – the Belarusian OJSC Volatavto and the Russian CJSC Special Design Bureau – are subject to international sanctions.< /p>

What is the situation on the border with Belarus

State Border Guard Service representative Andrei Demchenko told on February 29 that the situation on the border with Belarus remains unchanged. According to him, the Ukrainian side continues to build fortifications to protect the border lines and border areas. He noted that opportunities were being created that would make it possible to repel any attack in the event of a second offensive from this direction.

At the same time, he noted that the Russians do not have enough forces to invasion from the territory of Belarus.

The representative of the State Border Guard Service also noted that there is no such powerful group of troops on the territory of Belarus that could pose a threat to Ukraine.

However, since Lukashenko remains an ally of Putin, special intelligence units continue to closely monitor the situation on the border to anticipate the threat and the need for reinforcement.
