In recent days, Belarusian activists have recorded an increase in military activity in the southwestern regions of the Brest region. This is due to the conduct of the exercises.

So, now the exercises of the 38th airborne brigade are continuing at the Brestsky training ground – they have been extended until September 11.

Equipment activity in Belarus

Since the end of August, both delivery vehicles (various trucks, water carriers, field kitchens) and more serious weapons have been brought to the Brest region.

On August 30, at around 19:00, a train with at least 20 pieces of equipment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and 4 passenger cars, among the weapons were two launchers of the S-300 air defense system. It is known that it was a train with equipment of the 115th anti-aircraft missile regiment, which returned to Brest after exercises at the Ashuluk training ground in Russia. On the same day, the second echelon with more than 6 T-72 tanks of the armed forces of Belarus arrived in Brest.

The next day, on August 31, in the Drogichinsky district, 5 Belarusian infantry fighting vehicles were moving towards the border village of Adamovo, and 4 KamAZ trucks with howitzers were noticed in Pinsk.

On September 1, the movement of ground weapons to the border regions of the Brest region with Ukraine was not recorded, however, aviation activity is high. On that day, intense training was conducted over Brest for fighters flying from the airfields in Lida and Baranovichi, as well as helicopters from Machulishchi. The training area was moved closer to the border with Ukraine. In addition, fighter pilots practiced missile launches.

Fixing the movement of equipment resumed the very next day. On September 2, in the direction of Ivatsevichi, from the direction of Bereza, a convoy of 20 pieces of equipment of the armed forces of Belarus was seen, where, in addition to MAZs and Urals, radar stations also moved.

Belarus pulls equipment closer to the border with Ukraine

On the same day, another large echelon with military equipment arrived at the Brest-Yuzhny railway station: more than 13 airborne Urals, more than 17 Grad MLRS, more than 12 Gaz-66, 2 self-propelled guns 2S5 “Hyacinth-S” and 3 vehicles senior officer of battery 1V12 and several passenger and freight cars.

Part of the equipment could have been unloaded at the Brest-Yuzhny railway station, but at around 20:00 the same train was seen at the Malorita railway station – it was standing in the direction of the border with Ukraine. It was possible to determine that this is the equipment of the 111th Guards Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus. Also on September 2, another large convoy of Belarusian forces was moving in the direction of Mukhavets: 8 trucks (MAZs, Urals, Zil-131) and 23 armored personnel carriers, BRDM.

Over the past few days, in the border regions of the Brest region with Ukraine deployed:

  • S-300 air defense systems – 2 units;
  • T-72 – at least 6 units;
  • BMP – 5 units;< /li>
  • Howitzers – 4 units;
  • MLRS “Grad” – more than 17 units;
  • SAU 2S5 “Hyacinth-S” – 2 units;
  • < li> 1V12 – 3 units;

  • APC/BRDM – 23 units;
  • Radar – 1 unit.

What's going on

Activists noted that such a number of troops is not enough for aggression against Ukraine. Most likely, the pulling of additional equipment to the border areas may be another attempt to build up tension.

By the way, now the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko said that there are no significant changes in the direction from Belarus, however, Lukashenka's army units continue strengthen the border with Ukraine.
