Belarus, to demonstrate its presence at our border, placed wooden dummies of tanks. In addition, conscripts are being moved to the border.

This was announced at a briefing by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense Alexander Motuzyanyk. The situation on the border with Belarus has not changed significantly over the past 24 hours, but the Belarusian troops continue to carry out their tasks near the border with Ukraine.

What is happening on the border

Alexander Motuzyanik said that the Belarusian troops on the border with Ukraine in the Brest and Gomel regions continue to carry out the so-called tasks of “strengthening the border.” There are up to 7 battalions of Belarusian troops near the Ukrainian borders.

The main efforts of the Belarusian troops are focused on reconnaissance, engineering equipment of positions and protection of the state border. Even conscripts are attracted for this.

In order to carry out operational camouflage and demonstrate their presence, units of the armed forces of Belarus are placing wooden dummies of tanks in the regions bordering Ukraine, Motuzyanyk said.< /p>

Also in Belarus, the combat readiness of the troops is being checked. tentatively it will last until June 25.

In addition, Alexander Motuzyanyk stressed that, unfortunately, the threat of missile strikes from the territory of Belarus against Ukraine still persists.

What the Ministry of Internal Affairs says about the threat

Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Affairs Vadim Denisenko noted that there are about 4,000 Belarusian soldiers near the Ukrainian border. This number is too small for an attack, so there is no such threat yet. However, in general, because of the existence of such a possibility, Ukraine must react to avoid any possibility of an invasion from the north.

In addition, another threat is the meeting between Lukashenka and Putin in Minsk, which will take place on June 22. Most likely, as Denisenko notes, the Russian dictator will once again persuade the self-proclaimed president to participate in the war against Ukraine.

However, Denisenko also noted that for 4 months Lukashenka has been trying to get out of joining the war, so there are also the likelihood that the self-proclaimed president of Belarus will do the same after this next meeting with Putin.
