“Preliminary estimates show that the damage the explosion has exceeded 15 billion dollars”, — stated in the message. It is also noted that Spanish king Philip VI thanked President condolences.

Earlier it was reported that the Prime Minister of Lebanon will soon announce the government’s decision to retire in full force. The Ministers resigned after protests of the population, which did not stop for several days. Citizens took to the streets and demanded change of government, as he felt it was his incompetence caused the explosion in the port and the accumulated social and economic problems.

The explosion in the Lebanese capital on August 4, occurred due to storage in a warehouse in the seaport capital of 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate. Explosives seized from a ship under the flag of one of the African countries because of the large debt of its owner in 2014. According to recent reports, the explosion killed at least 154 people and injured over five thousand. Dozens of people are reported missing.
