The enemy is mercilessly hitting not only the positions of our defenders, but also shelling critical infrastructure. Before the start of the heating season, the Ukrainian government will allocate almost 300 million hryvnias for the repair of three thermal power plants.

As Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmihal said, they are talking about thermal power plants in Chernihiv, Akhtyrka and Kremenchug.

< p>As part of his visit to the Chernihiv region, Shmihal visited the local thermal power plant, which Russian terrorist troops deliberately bombed in March. As a result, 15 objects were destroyed.

The damage is really significant, so the government allocates an additional 100 million hryvnia to make the necessary repairs and purchase equipment for this heating plant. Thanks to these funds, the residents of Chernihiv and the region will be warm this winter,” the Ukrainian prime minister added.

The government will also allocate:

  • 100 million hryvnias for the Kremenchug thermal power plant;
  • 86.5 million hryvnias for the Akhtyrskaya CHPP.

“Both enterprises were also heavily damaged by shelling. These funds from the Government will allow the heating plants to quickly carry out repairs and start up just before the heating season. As promised, We will do everything to ensure that Ukrainians throughout the country have heat, water and light,” Shmigal summed up. .

< p>In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers agreed to allocate 1.4 billion hryvnias for the purchase of a stock of reserve equipment and materials that, in the event of infrastructure destruction, will help provide people with heat and water. We are talking about the purchase of:

  • mobile boilers,
  • diesel generators,
  • water treatment systems,
  • pumping stations and many other things you need in an emergency.

“We understand that the Russian army is terrorists deliberately destroying critical infrastructure, water, electricity and heat supply facilities. We are preparing for all possible scenarios,” Denis Shmihal emphasized.

How to prepare your home for the heating season

Russia's full-scale invasion has become the biggest challenge in the history of the Ukrainian state over the past 30 years. Russian troops destroyed more than 200 boiler houses and damaged a number of thermal power plants in Ukraine.

According to Economic Truth, hostilities can lead to a shutdown of communications, electricity, gas, heat and water supply. This is especially critical when it is minus 20 degrees outside the window. So, just in case, you will have to stock up on water, food, medicines, batteries, flashlights, candles and matches.

You should also take care of the minimum supply of firewood and purchase an ax. As the experience of the territories in which the hostilities were fought showed, people in critical conditions were forced to leave their homes and cook food on the fire at the entrance.
