Already in 2023, this figure increased by 507 thousand, or 30%.
Demographers, in a commentary to the Russian publication Verstka, said that such a sharp increase most likely occurred as a result of the war against Ukraine.
— This is almost certainly true. The vast majority of the more than 355,000 casualties suffered by the Russian Armed Forces as a result of the conflict in Ukraine are wounded military personnel, — British intelligence indicates.
The department recalled that the average daily number of Russian casualties has been growing since the beginning of the occupation offensive in the fall of 2023, reaching a peak of 983 people per day in February 2024, which is the highest figure since the beginning of the war.
A record rise in the number of disabled men aged 31-59 and injured will have a significant impact on Russia's health and social services, the UK MoD added.
RF losses
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated at least 1,160 Russian invaders over the past 24 hours. Thus, the Russian Federation has lost about 429,580 of its military personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
