Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya won the second round of the Roland Garros 2024 Grand Slam tournament.

In two sets she defeated the Chinese tennis player Yafan Wang with a score of 6:2, 6:0.

The tennis players spent 58 minutes on the court, during which Dayana served once, made two double faults and used six of nine break points. Her opponent also has one ace and three double faults.

In the first set, the Ukrainian gave only two games to her opponent, although she allowed a break on her serve. Dayana finished the second game completely dry, defeating Van with a score of 6:0.

This was the first head-to-head meeting between the tennis players. In the next round, Yastremskaya will play against the third racket of the world, Coco Goff.

For Yastremskaya, reaching the third round of Roland Garros — personal best. She had never previously reached this stage of the competition on the Parisian courts.
