Battles for Avdeevka
Near Avdeevka, in the Donetsk region, the Russian occupiers have reduced the number of attacks by one and a half times.
Alexander Shtupun, a representative of the United Press Center of the Tauride Defense Forces, reported this on the air of United News.
According to him, the fighting in the Tauride direction continues, but near Avdeevka the Russians have reduced the number of attacks by almost one and a half times compared to the previous day. One of the reasons is significant losses in manpower.
Shtupun attributes the decrease in the enemy’s use of equipment to the fact that the occupiers need to regroup. In addition, the delivery of ammunition and fuel takes time. The morale of enemies remains at a fairly low level.
“The activity of enemy aviation and artillery has also decreased – there were only four air strikes per day, before there were 17-18, Russian terrorists continue to use guided bombs and strike from afar,” Shtupun noted.
The speaker also said that the Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant is controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is trying to enter there, but is losing equipment and manpower. Tough fighting continues in the Avdeevka industrial zone.
Military assistance from Germany

Shelling of Chernihiv region
In the border community of Semenovskaya, in the Chernigov region, on December 2, a family with a 4-year-old boy was injured as a result of shelling from the Russian Federation.
They came to visit a relative for the weekend and came under enemy fire when they left the house on the street, said Regional State Administration Chairman Vyacheslav Chaus.
Semenovsk police helped doctors evacuate the victims. The child's grandfather received shrapnel wounds and was treated at a local hospital. And his daughter is transported to the regional hospital, where she awaits surgery. The boy miraculously survived, but was very scared. He is receiving psychological help. The father also came to visit the child.
According to police, several houses in the village caught fire as a result of the shelling.
Blackout at Zaporizhzhya NPP
Tonight there was a complete blackout at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant due to a break in the Zaporozhye Thermal Power Plant – Ferrosplavnaya 330 kV power transmission line. Through this line, ZNPP receives power from the Ukrainian energy system.
The line break occurred on the evening of December 1, and at 02:31 on December 2, during an air raid, the last line Zaporozhye NPP – Dneprovskaya with a voltage of 750 kV was de-energized.
Chairman of NAEC Energoatom Petr Kotin said that the power outage at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was another step towards a nuclear radiation accident similar to the one that occurred in Fukushima in 2011.
— In fact, a blackout is a step towards an accident, such as what happened at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, where first there was an external blackout, they switched to diesel generators, and after the diesel generators failed, a nuclear radiation accident actually began at the station. That is, this is a step towards just such a nuclear radiation accident,” he emphasized.
Situation on the border with Slovakia
There are already almost 1 thousand trucks at the Slovak border entering Ukraine due to a strike by carriers.
As stated by the press secretary of the Transcarpathian customs, Victoria Sengetovskaya, at the Vyshne Nemetske – Uzhgorod checkpoint, 32 vehicles are expected to leave Ukraine and 955 vehicles to enter.
Sengetovskaya reported that about 1.1 thousand more cars are in line to enter Ukraine from Hungary at the Chop (Tisa) – Zahony checkpoint.
The SBU explained why Poroshenko was not released abroad
The fifth president of Ukraine, people's deputy Petro Poroshenko, was not released on a business trip abroad the day before, since the SBU has reliable information that the Russian special services plan to use individual Ukrainian politicians in their IPSO when visiting third countries.
“According to the counterintelligence data received, it is in this context that information about the planned meeting of Eurosolidarity Chairman Petro Poroshenko with Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who systematically expresses an anti-Ukrainian position, is a “friend of Putin” and calls for the lifting of sanctions against the Russian Federation, can be considered,” the intelligence service said in a statement .
The SBU says that Russia planned to use this “meeting” in its IPSO against Ukraine, so it turned to the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers and the parliament with a proposal to take into account information about the enemy’s plans when organizing and coordinating foreign business trips of Ukrainian delegations.
“Therefore, the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada did not provide permission for a foreign business trip to the Ukrainian deputy, who was supposed to become an instrument in the hands of the Russian special services,” the message explains.
