Ukraine has long been waiting for the supply of long-range missiles from Western partners, including ATACMS with a range of 300 kilometers. But we have not received them yet.
One of the reasons why we are not provided with such weapons is gas and oil. This Channel 24 was told by a former employee of the SBU, an expert of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future Ivan Stupak. In his opinion, it was these two factors that played a significant role in preventing the Allies from providing us with these missiles.
The West does not depend on Russian resources and can supply weapons to Ukraine
He noted that Americans and Europeans perceive Russia's war against Ukraine on a geopolitical scale.
They reasoned like this: if at the beginning of the war Ukraine was provided with tanks, planes, long-range weapons, then this could initiate super-large jumps in oil and gas prices on the eve of winter. The only one who would benefit from this is the Russians, the expert believes.
According to him, it took the West a long time to balance gas supplies to Europe, especially Germany, which was almost 50% dependent on Russian resources. Now Gazprom is still pumping gas there, but not in the same volumes as before.
“It is thanks to the solution of the problem of dependence on Russian gas and oil that our partners can take more decisive steps to provide Ukraine with various weapons” , Stupak stressed.

Western media reported on the agreement between the US and China that Beijing put pressure on Moscow to stop threatening nuclear war. However, statements about the likely provision of aviation to Ukraine may again cause a nuclear threat.
“If the question arises: will we have aviation or will there be a nuclear war “then let there be no aviation if it interferes with a nuclear war. Western countries have many different types of high-tech weapons, which we do not know for sure,” Stupak emphasized.
In his opinion, they can provide us with effective weapons, and if they do not replace aviation, they will greatly help in the war against the enemy.
